Well, it's been a good while since I last updated the blog and since then I've become a paid up member of the paragliding world (subject to getting my theory exam marked). I've had the most amazing time here in South Africa and it's amazing too that I've realised a dream - to learn to fly!
I've compiled a little video of some of the flying here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cf4XCG8ERes
And now nearly 5 months after I started off (how lucky am I!) it's time to go back to Europe and amazingly I'm going to the company that I left back in October. They have a very exciting contract lined up - there are some exciting projects in the pipeline and it will be good to get back to work I suppose - not least for the health of my finances!
This has been an incredible adventure and I can't quite believe that it's coming to an end.
I'll never forget the last 5 months and I've got a wealth of memories to last a lifetime. Thank goodness for the internet too. I can dip back into this website when I start to forget that any of this ever happened to me!
Thanks for sharing this with me and see you soon!
Love,
Martin

G'day cobber
It's about time that you stopped enjoying yourself and got your ass back to work. Still it was nice of Proximess to give you a sabbatical. I'm busy applying my new found ozzie parking skills in Holland. It's great!!! - I now reverse into canals rather than driving straight into them.
BTW: Congratulations on all your parasailing experience etc ..., they may come in handy when the lifts don't work in Belgacom Towers
Yeehaa!
Thanks Dave,
I'm glad to hear that you have learnt something from your time in Australia! If you go fast enough in reverse you'll be able to make the other side, Duke's of Hazard style. ;-)
So are you back in Holland? I'm going to be there in a couple of weekends if you need a co-driver.
Cheerio!
Martin
Ey-Up me Duck!
Come back down to earth Martin!!
Gosh, been ages since I looked at your blog, you've done bloody loads my friend. The last adventure I had was on the Big One with you and Kam at Blackpool. Yours was an amazing adventure, and great to read. I hope you are settling back into the rat race and are still enjoying life in Belgium. We might make it over to see you at some time. Would be a good excuse to do some small time travelling in comparison. Baby on it's way, arriving via stork express on May 12th. All excitng stuff for us. Wishing you all the best Martin, you deserve it. I'm glad you have found your happy place. Big squeezes and much love, Gina xxxxxx
