I have decided to start typing this, so I can learn to use the tools on this web site now and not while we are on vacation. You are welcome to follow along if you wish and have the time.
The final reservations are being made. Last night I was able to book what looks to be a very nice hotel on Hotwire.com. It is the Radisson LAX. Here is it web site:

I got it for a little more than half its normal price off of Hotwire, plus I saved some money over the Best Western I had originally booked in Sherman Oaks, Ca. This is the 3rd hotel switch I have made in the LA area. It will also be the last since I had to pay Hotwire up front. They say the 3rd time is the charm. They also say 3 strikes and you're out. Eternal optimist that I am you can guess which way I am leaning.
From LA we head to San Diego. We have a reservation in at a Days Inn, but I am hoping to upgrade and save money at the samt time. I am checking Price Line and Hotwire daily to see if I can get lucky. Sarah is really looking forward to the San Diego Zoo. She wants to go to the Australia portion of the zoo.
Our next stop is Sedona, Az. A friend from work has a sister who is a concierge at a hotel out there. She mailed a bunch of stuff to us. Boy does that place look cool. I am really looking forward to that part of the trip. We will be staying at a place called the Kings Ransome.

From Sedona we head to the Grand Canyon for a few days. We are staying a half mile from the rim on the South side at the Yavapia Lodge. We have a bus tour scheduled for Sunday afternoon that should be alot of fun.

After a couple of days at the Grand Canyon it is off to Las Vegas for the last couple days of the vacation where we stay at New York, New York. I am not sure what we are going to do there, but it is Las Vegas, I am sure we can find something.
