The island sponsored by Mastercard Iive been told. About a 1-2 hour ferry journey from Salvador (port C..........??.). We unfortunately, due to crap timing, had to take the expensive direct route.

Our first noticeable point on this large island were the Taxis. These taxis were infact Wheelbarrows. ha! plenty of laughs. I was laughing inside, but my body was awfully tired and nothing came out but a slight...grooaaaan.

Relaxing...Yes.
Sociable...Yes
Sunshine...Yes.
Rain..........Yes.
Boredom...Yes.
Israelis.....Loads!

Beaches were beautiful. There are 4 main beaches on this island along with a few 100 more but these 4 are where inhabitants will sit. Beach no. 2 is the hang out and where most of the bars are based.

The guide book claims there are no cars on this island. But what do we see, some polluting 4 wheeled boxes rolling by.

Ive learnt to follow the Israelis whilst traveling or at least listen to their advice. They provide some of the most amazing info purely because of their small close network and of course they love to travel!

So we were lucky enough to be spoilt with sunshine and some rain.
