we ended up getting on the train around 8:15 a.m. ate some chinese food for breakfast. wasn't bad. cheap and quite yummy. it's weird how the chinese fried doughnuts over here are so crispy instead of the delicious doughiness of the chinese ones.
got to taroko national park and was very surprised by the whole place. it was so amazing. mountains with cloud tops. hiked for an hour then finally got to the a place where we could dip in the stream. stayed there for hours, relaxing and trying to not get hit by all the various rocks all over the place.
afterward, went to guilin to eat. had moshi balls. huge! best i've had in my life. the dough was so soft and chewy. mmm. the sesame and peanut ones were the best. i hope to be able to show my mom this place some day. then they had soup buns for dinner while i had some peanut noodles. the buns over here had the same dough as the breakfast buns. thought that was kinda weird. then i had to say good bye to everyone since i was supposed to get on the plane at 9 a.m. the next day. was a sad affair.
