day started off with lunch at one of a woodlands mall's food court. tons of food with lots of them winning awards. everything looked so good, i had no idea what to eat. ended up getting a white carrot cake and a black carrot cake. (black had soy sauce, white without.) both were really good. not sure which i preferred. soerin got some noodle stuff that wasn't as good. justina had us try her beef noodles. yummy! then for dessert, we had three different types of stuff. decent. i'm amazed by how cheap and great the food is here. singapore is definitely a foodie's paradise.
went to an electronics store with soerin. had furniture there. i laid on a pillow-top mattress and was in utter heaven. they even had a nice armchair that i want. then thought what the hell am i doing shopping for furniture. decided to try to pimp out my laptop instead. but stuff here is more expensive than the states. forgetaboutit.
took a nap then got ready for our night into town. there was a chinese new year festival right by the river! took lots of pics. most of them goofy. saw that singapore has a big shopping complex shaped like a durian- illuminated by bright neon lights, of course. only in asia...
then went to the ministry of sound. pretty cool club. three rooms. one played hip-hop. most packed. techno room had no one. and was the coolest, temperature-wise, of course. the few foreigners in there seemed gay. not surprised. :X
i stayed mostly in the mambo room. played old-school music. foreigners ended up creating a circle with someone dancing in the middle. switched off after a couple of minutes. was pretty funny seeing all those drunk people making a fool of themselves on the dance floor.
one guy was dancing by just jumping up and down. since he was right under the disco lights, bouncers immediately stopped him. then another guy dragged a girl onto the dance floor. she had holding a glass bottle of beer. bouncer immediately came over and told her to get off the dance floor. damn singapore. talking about ruining the fun.
don't they know the unofficial new orleans rule to a good night? you're not having fun unless you're breaking three laws. that would be very easy to accomplish in sing.
