being raised in new orleans, i know that i've been spoiled when it comes to nightlife. after all, when you come from the party capital of the world, everywhere pales in comparison. and after experiencing three other cities, i have to agree that yeah, nola, we really do know how to do it properly. and as y'all know, i'm not even much of a partier!

boston- where should i begin?? the bars were decent since there's tons of pubs there. (my favorite kinds of bar.) the clubs were just horrible! a whole strip of bars with snooty and snotty people standing in front of them is not my idea of fun. and closing at 2 is also not in my idea of fun. nor is a strip search and a blood sample before you're allowed to go inside if you've got an out-of-state id. considering the amount of college students there, i don't understand that. and let's not get me started on all the damn blue laws.

nyc- decent. but the people are pretentious and the drinks are too expensive. plus it's new york. who wants to travel an hour to get anywhere decent?

wuxi- 24 hours! and walkable locations. so that's the good news. the bad news? drinks aren't as cheap as you expect. and the locals are everywhere. they're rude and push you out of the way. and are horrible dancers that do congo circles. so far, i've checked out two clubs (virus and scarlet) and two bars (some german bar and blue).

the german bar was pretty cool and i had the best time there. there were some germans that lacey has befriended. he was the brewer for the german restaurant we ate at. so they treated us pretty good that night. free drinks and jagger shots. a cherry-flavored hookah was passed around the whole bar. and really old 80s music was played after yet-another philippino band retired. (with yet another crazy skimpy outfit. this time they were wearing hole-y fishnets.)

virus was hands down the worst place i've been to. it was their grand reopening so it was supposed to be a cocktail party. with my black shirt and skirt, i was one of the dressiest ppl there. there were ppl with all kinds of jeans and wifebeaters. they played phillipino rap, indian hip-hop and chinese techno. and all variations of the above. each table got a fruit plate. bartenders had blow torches that they were lighting up every couple of drinks. it was so tight in there, you were on top of everyone else. and people were just swaying back and forth. *groans* now i know that my bad dancing is in my blood. :(

manpris
lol. somehow, i think that even in gay europe they're not cool. maybe only in that town that tim's originally from. a very long two hours away from london. you know the ONLY city in the uk. hehe.

the tim and jordan pics are the only form of porn i'll have on here. so i figured that they'd be good enough for my gay friends. y'all know who y'all are. hehe. and maybe the pics of the gay cowboy. the outfit we saw him in in lacey's apt. elevator was even HOTTER. if y'all can believe that.
