after much awaited we boarded the flight to mangalore,my friends picked us up to go to temple visit directly from the air-port.it was a goddess temple.a shakti-peeth and then we visited a beach and then our host tok us to their home .they didnot want us to miss out on anything....
we visited lots of temples and old structures of shri madhavacharya.his birth place etc..
udipi temple was the biggest of all.there was rath-yatra at nite. next morn, we went out for breakfast..and ye lo....there were cows walking in for breakfast and getting out on their own...when the first one arrived i nearly jumped on my seat...the cow would walk up to the open kitchen have a few idlis and walk out from the exit ...this can happen only in india.

next day we went to thousand pillar jain temple and there was a festival of lightening 1 lac lamps after offering prayers to the deity.
