Sue suggests that we go for a walk to get a feel for the area and pick up some strawberries. Jake goes off for a trip with their driver to the market in Mahabaleshwar - Phoebe decides that she doesn't want to come for a walk after all. It's a lovely walk and Patch is great - when we get to the strawberry farm he does to help the pickers and we take 3 boxes with us. Strawberries are the cash crop here - they get taken to the coast to be consumed by all the tourists at the hotels and are probably not eaten by the locals at all.

Phoebe is in a bait with us when we get back - she thought that we would go back and try and her coax her to do the walk - she is not happy that we did actually go without her. The children are pretty hideous about writing diaries and lots of fights ensue with strong resisitance to diary writing.

It is lovely in the evening at the farm and great to sit out and watch the sunset. A great place to read lots of books and do some great walks - a bit more relaxing without children.
