What a day! Started out with an all day level 4 lesson with Patrick (17) and Christian (13). We ripped the whole mountain and the ski school line was key with the crowded lift corrals. From there we attended the memorial service for Paul VonVerde; a ski instructor that died of a heart attack on the gondola. They said he got on the gondola that morning and just kept going right on up to heaven. Loon has a big 4th of July themed celebration every MLK weekend so we got to ride the chairlift, snowboard in the dark, and then ride down Coolidge Street under torchlight - this was AMAZING! After our long procession of skiers and riders all made it to the bottom they kicked off a great fireworks show.

But wait ... this day wasn't over yet ... our crew went to Imperial Palace a.k.a. Sushi Dave's and had scorpion bowls, sake, and you may have even seen me with a mai-tai. Then, Sushi Dave pulled out a microphone and started singing karaoke. Everyone else in the restaurant pretty much had no idea what was going on and could only observe our shenanigans. We basically took over the dining room with karaoke and since Sushi Dave himself was the one that got it started no one was going to tell us we couldn't.
