Bella from "Twilight" has her own first aid station at the Chinook Pharmacy in Forks, WA. We stopped in to get some supplies and to check out the Twilight stuff. There's a lot.

We headed to the Rialto Beach in Mora to explore and have picnic lunch. Mom packed the sandwiches that the lodge made for our o
breakfast without realizing they were egg sandwiches and were supposed to be re-heated. Oops! They were pretty good, but probably would have been better hot. We had a new tube of Pringles to try-loaded baked potato-and they were great. And Oreos!! You know you're on vacation when you get Oreos.

The Rialto Beach was cool. The water is cold (I think around 50 degrees) and it was a little windy so no one was swimming. There were a lot of people walking at the edge of the water and two people were fishing. The beach looks different than any other beach I've been to-here there are big logs and uprooted trees on the beach that look like huge pieces of driftwood. They are fun to sit on and climb around. Also, there are large rock formations in the water that are called sea stacks. There are trees growing on some of these rocks and birds there. While we were watching the waves, Mom spotted a sea otter in the water.

Next we went to La Push, a town that was made famous by the "Twilight" movies. This is where Jacob lived and some of the beach scenes were filmed. La Push is small but there are cool beaches here too. We went to the 2nd Beach. The only way there is by taking about a half mile hike through a rain forest. The forest is very green and quiet. The hike is kind of hard but you're rewarded when you finally get to the beach. There are lots of places where tide pools form and you can see anemones, starfish and mussels. I didn't see any starfish but there were lots of anemones and mussels. I had fun digging in the sand here.

Then we came back to our hotel. We had soup and Mac and cheese for dinner than watched a little tv and went to bed.

Mrs. B on

I visited Little House sites, you are visiting Twilight sites! I remember re-reading the stories after visiting the locations, and I really had a different feeling about the books. Just a thought...
