It's a Moose, Not An Elk!

I felt better after Mom made me hot tea at home, so Mom and I drove into Jasper to get a few things for the next part of the trip. We like the little grocery store in town. While we were in town we saw another one of those weird camper vans; this one had the Pink Panther on it. Mom made scrambled eggs for dinner but I had a microwave chicken meal instead. I don't like eating breakfast for dinner. Dad started packing up to leave tomorrow but Mom and I got going on another UNO game. We both won one game, but I am sure that I'm still ahead.
More rain today, but not storms like yesterday. We started early and stopped at Bear Paw Bakery in Jasper for treats. I'd have liked to stay here longer. On the way up to Maligne Canyon, we saw a mother Moose with her baby eating beside the road. That was exciting. The Canyon was a pretty place and I liked standing on the bridge and watching the water splash up against the rocks. Because of all the rain recently, the 5th bridge on the canyon was closed so we hiked only to the 4th. After a picnic in the car (raining again) we drove further to Maligne Lake. On the way we saw snow alongside the road, and when we got to the lake, there was more snow! It was raining a lot and really foggy, so we changed our plan and decided not to take the boat ride. This was disappointing because it is supposed to be really nice, but we knew we wouldn't see anything. We walked the trail alongside the lake a little, but I wasn't feeling very well so we didn't go all the way around.
