Where I stayed
Flat Rocks Beach
Been settled in at this cosy little hide away, (hide away compared to other freebies) for two days now, basically to save a few $'s as fuel and parks are killing the budget, parks fees are exorbitant at present because of school holidays...thankfully the holidays end today so I am hoping they go back to 'reasonable' tomorrow.
The dogs can walk and run freely most of the day, until the 'yokels' come around with their mini motor bikes and do wheelies up and down the dirt track...right next to me! But it is a public place, so can't complain I suppose, but there is so much open space; beats me why people have to be so intrusive.
Watched a guy catch some good sized fish from the rocks yesterday, I think it must have been the first time he had caught anything as he sent his wife off to grab the camera and take photos, or maybe it was just bigger than anything else he had ever caught. All in all it was satisfying to watch and I would have loved to have been out there doing likewise, even though I'm not keen of fish, I love fishing, it's so relaxing.
In the afternoon I did a bit of housekeeping...thought it was about time I swept some of the red dust and sand away. Then I went through one of the cupboards and threw things that I have absolutely no idea why I even packed them, now I have more room to store my supplies better.
The sky turned very grey last night and it rained for about an hour, first time I'd seen rain since leaving Cairns. The sun is trying to creep through the clouds and brighten up the day and hopefully it will be another warm sunny day so I can don my very 'sexy' head wear and can go for another walk, this time along the opposite side of the beach towards Geraldton.
