Croydon to Normanton is 148kms on good
sealed roads, with the occasional road works to slow you down a little.

Normanton was established on the Norman River by William Landsborough, it was the port
for the Croydon gold rush. Today it is the major service centre in the Gulf
Savannah with regular flights, and activities. AND OPTUS INTERNET WHOOOOO! I CAN FINALLY WRITE SOMETHING

It is 2.30pm and I am already installed under a big shady tree in one of the two caravan parks available for travellers and patiently
waiting for a breeze to sweep through the van as it's 'bloody hot’ so hot the motor started to heat up about 30kms out of town, so I parked under a tree…a rare thing out here…and waited
for the engine to cool down a little and added more water. The dogs are not
appreciating the heat at all, they are panting like an obese person after a 5
minute workout; luckily I got them clipped, otherwise I think they would be dead by now, it’s
already in the 30’s and I’m only at Normanton.

Skinny dip may be on the cards later on tonight… only if the lights are turned off, don’t want to scare the neighbours.

I cannot believe that it has taken me 4 hours to put this together, but am so glad to
have had to opportunity to update the last few days events, I have absolutely
no idea when the next one will be, but be reassured as soon as I can I will be
posting it here for you all to enjoy…
