Another short trip to Halifax and Lucinda two more glorious
spots hidden away from the outside world and the longest raw sugar belt running
5kms out to sea. A local lady told me they are still fixing it up after it was
damaged by the cyclone Yasi.
Driving along towards Cardwell there was an enormous smoke
cloud in front of me and I feared the worst that there had been a terrible
accident it was so thick. As I approached it became evident it was a 'bush'
fire or a 'burn off'. Whichever way you look at it, it wasn't a good feeling
driving through it.
