Not sure where we are off to. Took off from my roadside camp towards Gladstone where I found a centrelink office so I could organise the necessary papers for my 'pension' as in two days I will be officially 'OLD' and eligible...ouch that hurts! But hey! Had to come sooner...would have preferred...l a t e r. :-) Thought a being a 'hick town' I would go straight in...wrong, had to wait 15mins or so. This lovely lady came and sat next to me and started chatting and asked me why I was there...Told her for my pension and...wait for it...disability pension she asked? Thought she must have seen me get out of the old van and thought 'you would have to be disabled to drive that around'. No, I replied the 'old age pension'. REALLY but you don't look old enough...SHE made my day.
Finally got called and after a couple of questions from the centrelink lady, was given enough pieces of paper to fill out, which would have destroyed a forest.
Put those away for another day.
