Whale watching season in Hervey Bay saw only the head of a Whale jutting out of a 'fun park' and the tail jutting out of a 'roundabout' that was the closet I got to seeing the mighty beast. A dolphin was also an attraction peeping out of the wilderness of the over grown park. Found out that signs saying 'tourist drive' are in fact 'detours' of the city. From now on I shall be sticking to the main roads...not impressed with driving an extra 10kms to avoid the city and seeing how the locals live!

Dogs have been kept on their leads to avoid any more 'runners'.
