Ok, So I don't really have much to say about the town of Cesme, as I was only here a couple hours before taking a boat to the Greek island of Chios.  But I really like this small and picture perfect town.  It is sitting on the edge of the Aegean sea.  I had only really spent my time in big cities in Turkey, so this was quite a change for me, and also a preview of what was ahead in the islands.  I arrive via bus 1 hour from Izmir, got my boat ticket and decided to leave my big backpack at the boat companies office.  This would give my much more liberty to walk around.  Carrying 25 + kilos for several kilometers (which I have had to do) is enough to run you down quick. I took my camera out and started snapping some shots.  These pics are the only really good ones I came out with but if give you all a small taste of the town.  When I finally retrieved my bag, I had to walk quite some distance to the ferry, and go through customs.  As soon as you enter the building, you are required to put your bag through an xray scanner.  I have nothing to hide, so no worries.  Well I have these small compression bags to hold all my clothes together in my bag, and when you put it through the machine....it looks like bundles of something.  So of course, they pulled me aside to tear my bag apart and check what it was.  One by one, we went through all 5 bags.  I had a smile on my face the whole time though, cause I had plenty of time.  They apologized at the end of the search, but I totally understood, they were simply doing their jobs.  I probably would have checked too after seeing what it looked like.  And also being a solo traveler might look a little suspicious.  Whatever.  Another story to tell I guess.  Finally I filled out my last few forms and boarded the boat to bid farewell to Turkey.  My stay there had been a good one, but at the same time I was happy to get the wheels in motion again and see new places. Once on the boat, I took my last few pics and settle down for the hour and a bit boat ride having a beer, staring at the sun set.  It really was a peaceful and great way to an awsome visit.  On the lower deck though, something caught my eye.  There was a couple...I assume from the UK, traveling around on a BMW 1150 motorcycle.  It looked like soo much fun, and I was really missing the feeling of being on a bike again.  This got some wheels turning in my head........

Now I know this doesnt really count as a full entry, but it just had to be posted to show you how I ended up where I did.  Thanks again for taking the time to read this.
