A good day. The landscape today was pretty similar to the last few days. Lots of trees, grass and sky. The picture below was in a giant (sorry if I use a lot of adjectives like that, it's hard to convey Russian size with words) mustard field that popped up among the grass all the sudden. The combination of cool clouds and the perfect yellow made for a good photo stop. I think the ancients invented yellow after seeing a mustard field. It's deserving of its own color name.

Today was our last day with Steve the elder who flies to Almaty, Kazakhstan tomorrow for a few days before heading home via London. It will make names easier for the sake of blogging but his wise words and sensible advise will be sorely missed. Tonight's hotel in Novasabirsk has been a treat with good food and a pool! I think the team is excited to finish up with Russia and get into wild Mongolia. While the nice Russian roads have been great for making good time I think we all had a little tougher terrain in mind which we should find in a few days.
