Arrived in Ica after a very long bus journey Ica is very hot and a bit dangerous so we got a motor taxi to Huacachina which is a tiny oasis surrounded by sand dunes and a few hotels and restaurants the weather is very hot but all the hotels have pools and you can also swim in the lagoon which locals say has curative properties but it smells really bad so i did not go in we did try sand surfing though and it is very enjoyable although walking up the sand dune is very tiring the ride down is well worth it.
