This morning we woke up, ate breakfast, and packed the car. We searched for showers for another hour. A spa offered us 20 dollars for a shower but we didn't want one that bad. Our drive to lone pine was only 2.5 hours. We arrived in Lone Pine just in time to eat lunch. We then headed up to the campsite to check in and get our permit for Whitney. We didn't realize that the visitors center was not even in the same town as the campsite. So, we drove back down the mountain to get our permit. On our way up, we found a place to take a shower. it was about time! We hadn't showered in 5 days and we smelled like death. After that, we set up camp, packed our bags, and attempted to get some sleep. We leave for Whitney at 12:00 am. Hopefully we can make it to the summit for sunrise. I'm so excited, I doubt I will be able to sleep.
