After the adventure of the Spice Market we had a quiet evening at a restaurant near the hotel before our 4am start to Singapore!
We then had a long drive back to Delhi with a quick sightseeing stop in Jaipur on the way. Matt and me then had a day in Delhi on our own before our flight to Singapore. I had a bright idea that we should visit the Spice Market and on the map it didn't look that far so we thought we'd get a tuk-tuk so far and then walk the rest. What a mistake! It was so busy that the roads and the pavements were solid with people and animals. It took us about 40mins to get the 100m to the Spice Market and we were so stressed that we hailed the first cycle ricksaw we saw and got him to get us out of there!! The ricksaw driver took us back via the back street bazaars which was really interesting - every type of stall you can imagine. The electricity wiring is also something to be seen! There are random wires strung everywhere - some falling down and some that look like balls of string - apparently they all work!
