What I did
After the ceremony we walked around the side of the mountain which gave us some incredible views of the Andes, we could see snow capped mountain tops which didn't look much higher than us
After lunch and a rest we started the Gringo Killer, almost immediately we reached another Inca Ruin and learnt about the history, we then continued the descent, all up there was probably close to 20,000 steps we where descending from 2 until 5. For me this was the hardest section especially towards the end, Ally had been coping extremely well with blisters for most of the trip, and my entire heel had turned into a blister and popped on day 2 and we were both feeling the pain, me more as I'm more of a wuss lol.
Towards the end of the descent we came across a large Inca Ruin with a number of terraces and then we made the final descent towards the camp, i don't remember much of this last 30 mins, except sore feet, knees, and every muscle in my legs. I think my mind has blocked this memory. We made it to camp had dinner and prepared for the final trek to Machu Picchu, the good news, its only a 2 hour trek, the bad news, its a 3.30 start in the morning.
