What I did
We got picked up from the hotel at 5.30 in the morning and get aboad the bus, pickup everyone else on the way and head to the town that is near the trail for breakfast, here we got to know everyone else that we would be spending the next 4 days with. After breakfast we head to the trail, we arrive at the beginning at about 10 and have a quick briefing and start the trek at about 10.30, now day1 is the easiest day, but at this altitude within 10 minutes we are struggling to breath, we soldier on and about 1 hour in we see the first Inca site, we are on top of a cliff looking down at the ruins and it is quite an incredable view looking at these ancient ruins.
Carrying on we contiue the so called easy day and stop for lunch, then continue walking and arrive at the camp site at around 5. We had dinner and a quick breifing about day 2 which is the hardest day and then to bed to try and get some sleep, which is hard at 3000 metres above sea level as it gets very cold at night time.
