Our biggest trip on the Spowken Off journey. We covered just under 300km in one day. We started riding at 7am to ensure we would make the distance to Nha Trang. During the day we were chased by heavy rain clouds supported by some of the loudest thunder I have heard in years. Everything was going well on the plains and we could out ride the wet, but then we had to go over a pass. We were flanked by the rain as we had to dart past a number of trucks. To get out of the torrential downpour we pulled into the first shelter we saw. We found a little shack on the edge of the road and agreed to pay $1USD each to park in there. After a couple of minutes passed, we discovered the purpose of the shack with the offer of, quote, "boom boom", from the residents. Yip, it was a brothel with a view. Declining the "boom boom", we settled for a cup of coffee instead. Thankfully for us the rain didn't last long and we were on our way.

Another puncture on Chimp Chimp's behalf led me to drive off ahead to find a hotel while still light. The accommodation was right across from the beach in downtown Nha Trang. By far the best value place on our trip, besides the continual hammering next door from the new hotel being built. We stayed two nights in Nha Trang. On our full day, we got our bikes serviced. Hung, our receptionist, was very helpful in riding us to his own mechanic and providing us with local prices.

Two nights was definitely not enough time for Nha Trang and it would be a place to go back to. Especially with Vinpearl, a resort island with theme park and water park. The only way to get to this is by a massive cable car over the harbor.
