Oh no my feisty neighbours to the south, how hath thee been forsaken? Could it be more then you have visited on our mother, the Earth? Could it be more then your fellow human being? The Pearson Airport is thick with the heavy stench of fear, wafting from the general direction of Terminal one, and good ol' US of A customs and immigration department.

The most difficult part of our trip was going through US customs. I was so humiliated; stripped down to my stocking feet, my jean jacket and belt taken from me as I stood there in my basic garb in front of at least 50 people, my heart wilted. I felt so humiliated. I waited as the female officer checked each rivet in my Nevada jeans belt for explosives and I almost cried, could I still do this?

Everything went up from there (save the fact that my suitcase was checked by our good friends at the Department of Homeland Security and, for their trouble, the cheeky stars and stripers STOLE my special Laura Secord candy cane I got for Christmas! Guess they are still bitter at our 1812 heroine and her faithful cow ;-)We met a special friend of mine, Trevor King, on the flight to Chicago and to my delight he sat right in front of us on the plane! Trevor, one of my most favourite instructors from the Burington Teen Tour Band, was on his way to Vegas(?) for work. We reminisced for a bit above the roar of the jet engines and left him behind in Chicago as we took off toward the Land of Morning Calm.

I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Trevor on his engagement, it's about time buddy. She is a lucky gal, I hope she knows it ;-)

The script of this blog has been brought to you by the literary magic of Julia Dick, while Matt, the master of gadgets and computer seduction, has taken care of layout and digital imagery.

Ich Bein Ein Berliner
I knew that wasn't Matt's writing style. Anyway, that sucks about the embarrassing part Julia. Hope it gets better from here. PS - Matt is a dork.
