So we bust it up there & pull in at about 11:30am the MC shop. We have a little time to stand around & look at the "pile" inside the fence. I'm not going to go into the nitty gritty details of what went down exactly but we were told "pile, wrecked parts bikes, lots of good stuff". I dont need much coaxing to jump in my truck & go for a road trip so I called Jay & he was ready in a few hours. We zoomed up there thinking good thoughts & imagining a great deal. What we found when we got there was the bottom of a pile. The shit left behind. The bikes had also been scalped. All the good stuff pulled from each bike. These were the carcasses of motorcycles. What we got were 5 BMW K100 and K1100 models and one absolute POS Airhead. An R60/5 with a /6 disc front end on it. It was wasted. I was told this bike could be put back on the road. We were pissed but the guys from the shop showed up, Marty Scott & Turtle. Super nice guys. They were super cool & helped us load up our junk. They also felt bad for us & gave a few gems they had stashed just because they were so nice. Marty & Scott own the place but Turtle has been a certified BMW tech for almost 30 years. Since he started working there! These guys started out Triumph & Suzuki I think in the back in the 70's & picked up Moto Guzzi at some point and became a BMW dealer in 1980, thats about the time they dropped Triumph when they saw the end in sight. They picked up the new Triumph line way back in 1996. Of course BMW pulled their franchise when they didn't want to move to Indiana & sink a million dollars into one of these new BMW "boutique's". So they dropped the BMW line after 30 years. BMWNA YOU SUCK. They had a tidy shop, total pro's they also had a bunch of old bikes, very interesting bikes too. 2 K75's with less than 4000 miles. A perfect last year K1 next to a Moto Guzzi Norge(ever seen one?). A cool Aprillia & 2 NEW Moto Guzzi's and an '02 1100Sport used. Most every bike in the modern Triumph line was there including the Scrambler & the Rocket III. So after all the bikes were loaded we had a quick tour of the shop & we were back in the truck.

rusty on

BMW dropped South Suburban after Marty was caught turning in false warranty claims. Also Polaris dropped him back in the 90's for similar reasons.
The machanic's name is Turbo, not Turtle, lol.
