As the guide book describes 'flashy playground of nothern queensland' and boy aint this true, as we wandered down the esplanade you could see the wealth by the size of the yaughts parked up there. Including beachside villas, luxury hotels, spa's and expensive shops. Possibly we looked a bit out of place driving through in our rusty old camper! More so when we rolled through our campsite past all the gigantic caravans (if you can call them that) parking up in the back of the field where our modest little George would spend the night.
Day 2- Port douglas
After a nice nights sleep and an early wake up call , it was time to board yet another catamaran, this time the super sonic that would take us back up north and out to the Great Barrier Shelf where we would be snorkelling around Agin Court Ribbon Reef. Words cant describe the sights we saw from the top of the ocean (so look at vids and pics) 3 snorkelling sights and 5 hours later we were on board and heading home on what felt like another thrill seeking rollercoaster ride, which gave all the staff plenty to do-running around with bags of sick..lovely!
