There are many places to stop and play
(although there are no shopping malls)
you can hike to some falls
and hear the call of a bird of prey.
The best way to pass a day, or so it would transpire,
is to float on the river in an inner tube tyre.
The rapids might look benign,
but if you pick the right line
You'll shoot through them as if your pants were on fire!
There once was a dog from Santa Fe,
whose loud bark could be heard throughout the day.
And when night came around,
there was another audible sound
the bloody roosters had joined the fray!
