Our final destination was Pelourinho neighborhood in Salvador. As usual, we met some Brazilian couple on the road. Later, the husband really insisted waiting with us for 10 minutes until the right bus toward Pelourinho will show us, because there were many buses and he couldn't tell us which ones are in our direction. Then, we used the city's big elevator which connects the lower and upper city.
All along the trip we were amazed by the welcoming, warmth, helpfulness and tranquility of the Brazilians.
Later on, we strolled around the steep streets with colorful buildings and lots of colonial architecture and churches. We also tried some Bahihan (Bahia state) street food like filled aracaju, something with tapioca and coconut, and caffezinio.
