We woke early to meet our tour over breakfast, sleepy but excited!
First stop, Kutna Hora and the Church of Bones!! This is a small town, that had an over crowded cemetary due to the plague. So to solve this problem, bodies were exhumed from graves and their bones were used to decorate this church. To whom it concerns, it is either creepy or arty! To us, it was 'crarty'!
On we travelled to a first stopover, in Olomouc, Czech Republic. Our guide took us on a night tour of this highly religious town and showed us all the sights, in short, everything is second to Prague. The 'second tallests' this and the 'second oldest' that. On to the restaurant for some dinner, were we again indulged the 'stodgy' food we have come to love! On tonights menu, Onion and Cheese Soup, Goulash, cheese and potato dumplings (more like gnocci) and more BEER! Following another great feast, the entire tour hit the town, or should we say hit the tarmac! Our bar tonight was a converted plane in the middle of the town! The novelty of the plane wore off the second you entered the cabin! Did we mention that we cannot get used to smoking inside?? Well imagine a plane without windows and locals smoking! hmmm.... we lasted two drinks, before we actually needed our oxygen back!
Great start to our tour!
