We spent 4/19-4/24 in Lebanon, based in Beirut where Mike's Tata (grandmother) Esmait, Khalo (uncle) Halim, Aunt Selma, and cousins Rana and Razzouk live. It's also home to many, many friends and family. It was wonderful to see everyone again and for Steph it was a great introduction to Lebanon and the Samara and Razzouk families.

Mom hosted a dinner of mazza (Lebanese tapas) for us at a local restaurant overlooking the Mediterranean. The amount and variety of food was overwhelming with dishes piled high. It culminated in goat liver, spleen, and brain. I liked the first, tried the second, and drew the line at the third.

I'm just now realizing that by the time we got to Lebanon I was suffering from a bit of camera fatigue and I didn't take nearly as many pictures as I would have liked to--especially of my Tata and family.
