Where I stayed
Byblos (Jbeil in arabic) is considered by many to be the oldest continuously-inhabited city in the world (founded ~5000BC). We visited Byblos' old town with my mom, Khalo (uncle) Halim, and Aunt Selma. Overlapping ruins from successive cities surround a largely intact Crusader castle. Nearby is a a wax museum commemorating the history of Lebanon and the Souk (market) where we got to see Aunt Selma's legendary bargining skills in action.
