Situated at the low Rhein, it lies on the crest of the small hills of Utrechse heuvelrug.
The original castle was destroyed by the french and was remodeled in Dutch style.
From here we went onwards to Rhenen albeit the stretch of those 15km was quite tiresome and decided to take the train. Although our goal was Arnhem, we had to deviate due to train connection (the only train that connected Rhenen to the outside world was towards Utrecht, thus having us going back to Utrecht to proceed again)
