Plane from Los Angeles was diverted back after about an hour into the flight. We couldn't land at Los Angeles because of fog and so we were diverted to Las Vegas.
We had a bit of a welcoming committee when we arrived. Fire engines, ambulances, lots of flashing blue and red lights. Seems that there was smoke coming into the cabin upstairs. The passengers upstairs were all checked over by medics and we saw a few being wheeled off in stretchers. I think probably just precautionary measures.
We are now staying in a hotel called South Point having arrived here at 2am and have to report back to the airport at 2pm.
Not very impressed with the organisation at Las Vegas airport, it took two hours before we got our baggage. No BA representative on hand and several conflicting announcements being made.
We have missed our Guernsey connection, so not sure when we'll get back.
I suppose the silver lining is this is probably the best hotel we've stayed in the whole holiday!
Oh! And we are okay!:)
