I  Don't like how friendly the fish are, it freaks me out!
Today we headed out early and went to the end of the road at Ke'e Beach.  Literally, the road ends at the North Shore at this beach, and it is where the Napli Coast hike begins.  But we stayed at the Beach, where the snorkeling was pretty good!  after snorkeling, we took at 5 minute walk up the beach, where we turned around to see a scenic view of the Napli Coast!!
We left to have our packed lunch elsewhere since the Kauai County bird, the rooster, was holding camp at Ke'e along with assorted hens and chicks.  They were like sea gulls, pushy scavengers, intent of stealing a potato chip or two!
So we went to Anini Beach, which was a large strip of beach surrounded by million dollar homes and views!  The beach had a reef, which was not too active, though lots of coral with fish nursery's.  We stayed there for a couple of hours, hit up our required smoothie visit to the Moloa'a Sunrise Fruit Stand ( converted some others to my pina colada smoothie), and returned home for cocktails and showers.  Then off to Duke's at the Marriott in Lihue for dinner.
We had a nice table overlooking the water, though it rained on us for a short time.  Dinner was OK, full of families and tourists.  We realize that we like a more laid back vibe of the North Shore with Hanalei and Anahola, where we are staying.  Not sure what we are doing tomorrow as the swells are still large, and the scuba company have said they may have to cancel the scuba trip tomorrow.
The title of this post comes from Shannon.  The snorkeling at Ke'e beach was great, with lots and lots of tame fish swimming right up to you.  Shannon did not like that at all!  Hence her quote!
