This morning was another early morning so we can bus to Kaprun that required one transfer.  Job was decided to spend a quality romantic day with his wife so we were on our own.  But we had the privilege of having the company of a beautiful blond Dutch chic, Isabella :)  We have decided she has to be part of the ski team from now on.

650am- my turn to make breakfast!   715am- breakfast ready 750am- out the door.

Today we met up with Christina, an ID fellow from home.  :)  The second we arrived, we found a Christina waiting for us!   We head up the gondola.  After looking at the ski map,...  we realize resort was a T bar heaven.. or as the snowboarder called it.. T bar hell!   The entire top half of the mountain glacier therefore all the runs on the top had to be T bar.  There were NINE T bar on this mountain!!!

The interesting part about skiing in Europe is that no one really skies 'off piste'.  So they all stay on the groomer runs.  So the last ski trip we had in Europe (France), we found fresh powder even after lunch!!!

This trip, we have not been so lucky with the weather.  It has not snowed for over 2 weeks now.  BUT  we still found some stack of power on some runs!!!

We were having such a great time finding some stashes of fresh snow we forgot it was lunch time.

We made our way up to a restaurant on top of the mountain called Gipfel.  It was 3000m high.
The view was breathtaking again!  (I really need to find someone in the group to do blogging instead of me).  I only have so limited vocabulary.... But I guess the picture should = to a thousand words..

Lunch- a new Austrian dish was discovered... Dumpling

After lunch, we had the option of taking a train down the steep part, but we decided we handled it.. Boy it kicked our butts.  Poor Bong fell while 'probing' for us and pulled his right calf :(  While we were waiting for each other, we saw a guy took 2 turns on the snowboard and the tumbled down cartwheel style... yikes!!!

We then basically got off the mountain by skiing to the closest gondola and downloaded for home.

Dinner tonight is cooked by Yvonne/Ray and Jelmer and Nieke.
