Amongst the joys and quirks, mishaps and madness of living and teaching here, sometimes you have to laugh at the use (normally the misuse) of the English language. I sympathize with my students.
ENGLISH IS HARD.
Read on, these are direct quotes from a project we did where my students interviewed each other on whatever topic they wanted.
"What is your hate food?"
"What kind of avoid food do you want?"
"What's your don't like food?"
"What's your bad food?"
"I like sweat romance"
"thank you, sweat boy"
Q: Nowadays, common girls like romance too?
A: Yes, of course, particularly vampire's love story. I want to love vampire too.
Q: oh, good luck
"Drum sound makes me interesting"
"Today's qeeu of menu exactly sourced chicken!"
"E-sens doing freely music"
