The next morning we slept in and had a delicious breakfast. We didn't do anything Eastery with the family, except crack hard boiled colored eggs just like you do in bulgaria (you hit 2 ends together and the egg that doesn't break is the winner.) Nikola and I went for a walk in the park in the early afternoon and met a couple of his friends there. After some pictures at home we took a bus back to Belgrade then back to the apartment, where I had about an hour to get my things together before heading to the train station for my night train back to Sofia. Nikola came with me and gave me a huge hug on the train - I really felt like I was leaving a good friend behind, I hope during my time in Bulgaria I'll get a chance to come back to Belgrade and see him and the other boys again.

On the night train I reflected a bit about my trip, and about my reasons for travelling in general. I think there's been a gradual shift over the last 4 years, since the first time I left the states. At first I travelled to see the general sightseeing stuff - the Eiffel Tower and the Mona Lisa, the Guadi buildings in Barcelona and La Guernica in Madrid. But I got so much more out of this past trip, talking to people and learning about the histroy. It's not something i could get from a book, and this kind of motivation will most likely inform the trips i take in the future.
