We were awake early as the weather again promised to be sunny and dry, so we got into the campsite launderette as it opened as we had decided to do a big wash, bedding included and piled it all in and found that after feeding several Swiss francs into the meter, Mike had pressed the button for the tumble-drier, never mind we sought help and paid up again and although the washing finally appeared much cleaner than before I think it cost nearly a tenner to do!!
After breakfast we headed into town to the street market which was really good and large too.  We were hoping to get some Emmental or Gruyere for lunch but tried some samples of unknown (to us) soft and semi-soft cheeses and we settled on one called Tomme Reblochomee which is very nice indeed and, I feel sure, very slimming (haha).  We have also bought presents for all three grandchildren.  We continue to indulge in local beers on our travels and had the chore of carrying ten bottles back along with a kilo of cherries for dessert. We returned later to buy cakes for dessert as the cherries seemed far too wholesome!   We also found a free exhibition in town at the Arsenal (a museum) consisting of a large numbers of sculptors, sculpting in stone, wood and bronze for all to see, although I know nothing about sculpting or sculptors, I found it worthwhile and interesting.  The walk back along the lake provided many opportunities to choose a yacht for future holidays and (more realistically) to take photos of almost everything in sight.  Salad and BBQ for dinner again cos' it's scorchio here.
