We woke in France to a heavy mist and were on the road by 9am. The sun seemed to appear immediately and our journey to the Swiss border was quite pleasant. On arrival at the campsite on the shore of Lac Leman we were surprised how large both the town and lake were. We had planned to go by train to Lausanne tomorrow but have been tempted to stay here in Morges as it is market day and there are some nice shops and of course the lake which, I suppose the local people regard as the sea, having no coastline. Looking across the immense lake in the searing sun I can see snow-capped mountains on the other shore. I look forward to the Italian lakes but have not yet had my fill of Switzerland. We will be here until Thursday when we travel further across Switzerland towards Italy - More tomorrow.
