Marty - Once again, long time no blog. Problem is not much happened in Oz, we caught up with Family and friends, and although that was cool, its wasn't exactly news worthy. (plus, I've been having trouble connecting my Windows 7 laptop, to various hostel WiFi points, and I'm not going to blog on my iPhone).

We'll quickly brush over what we did in Oz, along with a few pics, then we'll get back to proper bloggin once we catch up to Miami.

Carissa, (Ness's youngest sister) had traveled up the coast to see us with Rob and the two boys. We headed inland to Mt Tambourine, and to the local version of a Sky walk (usual case of a walk way over the rain forest). At near on A$20 ea, it was deemed too expensive for one of the party, who snuck under the barrier. It was a bit of a disappointment, as the noise of the people and the walkway was probably too much for the animals, and we saw none.

My Mum and Dad had flown to Qld and were staying in the sunshine coast and were awaiting our trip up there after the visit to the coast, but a 2 hr drive was all that separated us, and Mum could not resist making the day trip down to see us and the Perry's.

Ness suggested we go to the new high rise at surfers, P1, it has an observation deck and had some pretty cool views of the coast. (See pics)

Ness- Great time catching up with the family. Stayed with the folks in Labrador, basically gate crashing their holiday up on the Gold Coast. Mt Tambourine was a little disappointing for the wild life, especially now that we are keen birdwatchers! But we did manage to score some great local wines that we drunk while playing UNO attack! Great family game that turns very competitive when consumed with bottles and bottles of alcohol! What was the final score Dad?
Martyn's folks drove down to see us and we immediately whisked them off to the local surf life saving club, they always have the best views and great food. Which reminds me that what with all the drinking and eating I am happily participating in the old jeans are getting a little tight around the waist! Bummer....
