It rained heavily during the night and we awoke to the Smokey Mountain views we'd seen upon our arrival. Lazy start to the day with blogging and slobbing plus another excellent breakfast prepared by MJ. We set off the Natl Park again heading initially for Gatlinburg where we walked the endless tourist shops - every shop appeared to have black teddy bears for sale.

After a while even Munchie got bored and we set off for Townsend thru the National Park and a wiggly road which had us driving every direction of the compass as we followed a small river. It started to rain and this continued right through the evening. Townsend is kinda boring but we got a few things in a small supermarket there. Another tough trip back into Pigeon Forge where it looks like there is supposed to be a "run" this evening - many more cars in town and there seemed to be canvas chairs right along the mile-long main road.

Back at the ranch we had an excellent chicken chowder and a snooze followed by pork in BBQ sauce and more lazing.
