Just managed to get to breakfast for 9am after losing an hour....we're even more reminded that we're headed back east to a journey on a plane on Oct 16th....boo hoo.

We dossed around watching TV for a while before heading out north along a succession of Interstates to the National Cowboy Museum which was $8 and extremely chilly inside. It is a huge place with mostly empty space...there was a western art exhibit with numerous paintings from $2,000 up to $125,000 and mostly they were excellent - some superb - of cowboy scenes.

There are also sections on Indians, Rodeo and the Cowboy life which seems to be saddles, guns and more saddles. Probably the most interesting section is that on cowboy movies - a by-gone era now...but there were hundreds made in the 1940/50s plus many TV shows like Gunsmoke, The Virginian.

We were getting hungry as it was 2.30pm and headed back to the hotel via our favourite store (Wal-Mart) to pick up a bagette. We started watching a film as the clouds turned black with loads of lightening (but no thunder or rain) and then took a snooze. MJ was feeling really lethagic and went for a swim....the gym beckoned but more like a horror film curled finger than an idealic scene.

We have a mega-suite here and just enjoyed the feeling of a home with a lounge...hotel rooms can become claustrophobic after a while. No pictures today...somehow the museum just didn't have anything that jumped out at us....think we got one of the dark clouds.
