We slept really well and woke to sunny, blue skies albeit still chilly in the sea breeze.

We went down to the local supermarket and got food/wine/beer and did the laundry. Then back to the room to create breakfast which took sometime and involved a minor explosion in the microwave when cooking the poached eggs.

The day was beautiful and we sat on our canvas chairs at the side of the motel, to keep out of the wind, in the sun.

Around 1pm we set off for the local public beach to the north. We met a guy who been in the airforce for 22 years including Lakenheath travelling along the coast with a tent. There is a bus service that you can pick up to move on. MJ was interested....

The beach had a State RV/camping park at the top which was very nicely laid out with bushes between the RVs.  There were a few people on what was an incredibly windy beach and we didn't stay long.

The rest of the afternoon was spent sleeping and slobbing before the intrepid MJ set off again for the pelican cove. A short trip down the path of death and he found.....absolutely nothing.
All the birds had gone. Just as he was heading back a few of the pelicans returned and a few video shots were obtained. Unfortunately they ended up on a beach further down and no close up shots could be got. Once back up the path there was a deer in the motel grounds.
Amazing.
