Well, this is probably the least we have to say on anywhere we've visited. Our time in Fiji was spent, sunning ourselves, snorkelling (excellent for seeing a huge range of fish and corals, and the islands infamous Blue Starfish, which are just stunning in their colour) and kayaking around the island, which is quite exhilarating especially exhausting when you're rowing for two (martin took it easy along the way!!).

Just a great break doing a lot of nothing, relaxing and taking stock of our trip, (well needed after nearly 6 months on the road now). As well as meeting some lovely people whom we just could not stop talking to all week!!! (Alice and Lee, if you are reading this we hope you're having fun and stay in touch!!). We stayed in Nadi, for as little as possible it is not really worth exploring too much (quite built up). Then we went out onto the islands, but not to island hop which is one of the options you can choose to do. We went to "Kuata" (in the middle of all the islands to the west of Fiji mainland). Which was just nice, great Bura's (Beach style accommodation), good food if a bit like a school canteen!! If we'd stayed longer then maybe Coral Beach would have been an option, as it has been recommended as a place on the mainland, to stay if anyone is ever thinking of coming to Fiji. the transport is far more reliab;le now as they transport visitors to the island by Catermaran which is a great and speedy way to travel along. The old fisihng boats are still out there, if you really want a mad ride and every possibility of breaking down in the middle of the ocean, but it's really not necessary to go this way.
