Hello,
here some more news from Central Asia. With delight I finally got notice that Braunschweig is in first place of Regionlliga and if they do not screw up as last time...
Anyways, getting any news here without internet is impossible. Although I am watching the Russian news every day, the TV in our flat runs all day long, and I don't understand it (but pictures even here learned running...)nothing about Europe or America.
So I think I have already written some things about my work here and included some pictures (more are promised soon), i will take the chance toexplain little more. Actually right now it is quite frustrating. Myself being used to work long hours, here I hardly work an hour a day, which means waiting for about at least 6 hours a day. Even my translator says it is drop dead boring. Frankly I have to add that even the tajik workers are resting at least 2 hours per day. Life little slower here.
So frustration creeps up in my mind and I will just put some facts from a frustrated mind down here. Be aware in each is at least a piece of truth although my state of mind might lead to some slight exaggerations:
- Hauke and I have more tools at home than you can find in the whole factory...
- There is no plan how the whole production should look like, it is all in one head...
- Always look up when entering the construcion side...
- Rust can be welded...
- High voltage is not deadly...
- After tight comes loose...
- Less than 1 millimeter tolerance can nobody measure...
- Blue metal is beautiful...
- Why use a hammer if I have a short piece of pipe...
- Strengths is more powerful than quality work...
- Never throw something away...
- A 3 meter u-shaped pipe and be straightened by three people, remember the lever (it works...really just takes some time...)
- Everthing is supject to change (remember ME??)
- Don't trust your translator...
- ...
Anyways I am working on a solution to this...let's see what will happen.
Take care and greetings
Martin
