Hey there!
Yesterday we had our down day in Lincoln City. We slept late, had breakfast and lounged around for a while before even deciding what we might want to do for the day. A trip to the gas station and grocery was in order so we finally got ourselves together after lunch to run those errands. We also stopped at Barnacle Bills so I could buy some smoked salmon which is very yummy. We spent time on a beach just south of town to let Roxie run around - she was trying to catch the waves and eat them - and watched people catch crabs. We learned that you cannot keep females and males must be at least 5 1/4 inches tip-to-tip in order to keep them. It was super windy so we strolled the beach for about a 1.5 hours then called it a day and went home to read and make dinner. Later in the evening we went to the beach across the street from our RV site but again, it was so windy the sand was blowing all over poor Roxie (she didn't care!) so we headed back home after just about 30 minutes. We liked Lincoln City so much we decided we will return here some day and stay a bit longer.
Today we drove from Lincoln City to Bandon By The Sea. We caught lunch along the way at McDonalds. I'm now super tired of McDonald's but they seem to cater to RV's with large parking lots. We spent time in Old Town Bandon, walking the streets as I sipped a latte (my wonderful husband seeks out coffee shops for me!), peaking in candy shops and enjoying the very sunny and windy weather. After picking up pickled green beans, jalapeno/garlic green olives and a little fudge, we stopped for fish and chips at a restaurant recommended to us by the RV park. The meal was wonderful and huge - we could have split one meal - and we just may do that for dinner tomorrow :)
No photos to post today as the last two days have been pretty laid back but I promise to post some soon. We are going to search out some other towns to visit tomorrow - and who knows what yummy treats we will find!
