Last night was so stinkin hot and humid but during the night the wind came up and we had a few light showers, so we woke to a cool, overcast morning.  We had breakfast at the same italian deli where we had dinner last night.  Great coffee, breakfast sandwiches and scones.  Yummy.  After breakfast we drove the Draven's to Spokane so they could catch their flight home.  It's weird saying good bye to people you've spent the last two weeks with but, work was calling their names.

On the way back to the coach Lance and I drove through downtown Spokane but didn't stop to look around because the sun came out and it was hotter than heck again - we will try that again on our way out of Idaho in a few days.  We cleaned the house, did laundry and generally got things in order then, just as huge thundershowers started, went to dinner at 'Tony's by the Lake'.  We had reservations to dine on their patio but due to the thunderstorms we ate inside - which was fine except for a toddler that went off every three minutes or so.  Lance was fine with it; I was glad to have a glass of Chianti to calm my nerves :)

I'm attaching photos from our two days in Coeur d'Alene.  The lake is immense and awesome.  Beautiful water, trees surrounding the shoreline and multi-million dollar homes spotting the landscape. Roxie loves the water and we are finding it hard to keep her out of it.  No dogs were allowed on the beach but we were able to take her out to play a little further down where there was less beach access.

There are very wealthy and very poor parts of town, and our RV park seems to be closer to the latter.  The majority of this park is occupied by permanent tenants - hence the photo of the RV with the tractor parked out front!  On our drive tonight we followed an older man with an odd bumper sticker - yep, that says 'I love guns and coffee'.  I wonder if Starbucks knows about this??  We found a Bates Motel which kind of resembled that in the Hitchcock movie.  Also found a drive through grocery store.  Must be handy when it's snowing and you don't want to get your feet wet.

Tomorrow we are crusing downtown Coeur d'Alene and taking a hike on Tubbs Hill.  We hear the views from the top of the hill are stunning so we are taking the big camera again - no iPhone for Tubbs Hill :)
