Arrived in Olso which is situated at the end of a 70-mile long fjord,(which is like a huge canyon)is Norway's capital & largest city, rich in culture and folklore with a fascinating Viking history. We went to Camilla's (a friend I met in Uganda) where we were very gratefully staying as even for a hostel in Oslo in was about 30 pounds. We had a look around the town, went to the National Gallery where we saw the famous painting by Edvard Munch, 'The Scream', we also went to the Royal Palace,the Sclupture Gardens, to see an old viking boat and to visit the ski jump. In the evening we met with another friend of mine from Uganda who lived in Oslo called Kristian who show us around town, well the bars! We had a good nihgt apart from paying 7 pound for ONE beer in one of the bars.
