On a Boat

DING, breakfast time! It was a hard life waking up to the sound of your food being ready. We awoke to the gentle rocking of the boat. Our captain had left a little later than he had hoped after finishing his bottle of rum overnight. But all was well, we munched down the delicious breakfast and headed off into the open waters. It was quite a bumpy ride at first and the only way I could cope was by going and sitting at the back of the boat. Holly and the others enjoyed sitting and chatting up the front of the boat but I had to wait it out.

Eventually it calmed down and we arrived at a lovely bay where the ruins of Simena Castle lay. After looking around for awhile and checking out the old tombs we moved on to the sunken city. An ancient city that as you can guess, had sunk. We continued on and arrived at Kas, a local port. We had a look around and sat and ate ice cream while drinking wine with KB (Kendall) and Luke, our new best friends on the trip.

After we got back on the boat we sailed around to our sleeping spot and we all jumped in the water to freshen up. The water was incredible, so cold, but so damn blue! I had never in my life seen water this blue before, it was like something out of a picture but right in front of us! After we nearly froze we got out and relaxed on the sunbeds and drank wine again. We had dinner and continued drinking and chatting into the night. It was about 1am and I couldn’t keep my eyes open any longer but Holly was in for the long haul. She partied on while I clambered into bed.
